save the planet - start a beehive

Honey bees are the number one insect pollinator and pollinate over 30% of our food supply! So, becoming an organic beekeeper and having a hive is an easy way to contribute to your home, your garden, your community and the planet! We love bees and we'll show you how fun and easy organic beekeeping can be in our educational DVD, Organic Beekeeping 101

Why do bees need help

You may have heard the bees are vanishing here in the United States because of something called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). You can find a lot more detail about CCD - CLICK HERE

It isn't clear what causes CCD, but what we do know is that every little bit helps. So, we hope you'll join in the fun and become an organic beekeeper.

How Do I get started

Getting started is simple and we have a few suggestions for you:

  1. Buy our instructional DVD, Organic Beekeeping 101. Our DVD focuses on organic beekeeping, managing bees and hives without the use of drugs, chemicals, essential oils, or acids.

  2. Join your local beekeepers association – A web search using your location will show you those nearby organizations that can provide additional information.

  3. Join the 4-H – For more information about your local 4-H organization, CLICK HERE
We're glad you are as excited about bees and beekeeping as we are. Below are some great movies to see about bees. Or join us on Facebook, where we post up-to-date information about organic beekeeping and beekeeping events.
